Line-6 of Mumbai Metro
Line 6 or Pink Line, also known as (Swami Samarth Nagar – KanjurMarg – Vikhroli) is a proposed 14.47 km (8.99 mi) long elevated corridor, which will connect the suburbs of Lokhandwala-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli in Mumbai. Pink Line will include 13 stations, and have been designed to meet the demands of the passengers and ensure their safety and comfort while traveling.
It is expected to serve around 15 lakh passengers daily and reduce travel time significantly. The project is being developed by the MMRC.Metro line 6 corridor will be the second metro line that will connect the western and eastern suburbs.
Majority of people depend on roads for traveling between East-West suburbs as a result, there is heavy congestion on the road. This project will help in decongesting the heavy traffic on east-west connecting roads by implementing efficient mass transit connectivity.
Metro Line 6 will have a double-decker bridge. The flyover will be built on the first deck, which will be a road connection between Jogeshwari to JVLR while the second deck will be used by metro train.
