Red Line Delhi Metro Line

Red Line is the first line of the Delhi Metro and is also named Line-1. It runs from Rithala in the Rohini region to Shaheed Sthal in Ghaziabad. It covers 29 stations and a distance of around 34.55 km or 21.4 mi at an operating speed of 33 km/hr. The Red Line metro is a completely elevated stretched line and travels at a maximum speed of 80 km/h with a frequency of 4-10 minutes

The Red Line was the first line of the Delhi Metro to be opened to the public, with the first stretch between Tis Hazari and Shahdara being inaugurated in 2002. Since then, it has undergone several expansions and now connects some of the most densely populated areas of the city.

One of the major advantages of the Red Line is its connectivity to other lines of the metro system. It intersects with the Yellow Line and Violet Line at Kashmere Gate and the Pink Line at  Netaji Subhash Place and Welcome and the Green Line at Inderlok. This makes it an ideal line for travelers looking to change lines and reach their destination quickly.
